Work smarter not harder (Psalm 127: 1-2)

Work smarter not harder” is a concept that all of us want to achieve.   This is also true with your health and well being.  Getting proper rest will help you with your overall performance.     This is what God wants from all us.  We all want to be winners and we are winners if we take care of our inner being.   God works from inside out.  We have to remind ourselves every day to get our proper rest.  Here are some verses that you can meditate on this week.

I Peter 3:4 “Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”

Psalm 127: 1-2“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain. It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved.”

Mark 6:31 “Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”

We are not built to be overworked, stressed, and depressed.  Our whole being depends on us getting proper rest and relaxation.  Today is the first day of Daylight Saving Time, so make sure that you get your proper rest during the time change.  If you want to work smarter, start with your inner self.
