Tension Headaches

Tension Headaches can be caused by stress, depression, too little rest, and poor posture. If your headaches are caused by any of these stressors, you have to find ways to relieve the pain.  If you keep having headaches, it might be other problems like high blood pressure.  It is so important to track why you are having headaches and to find ways to stop them from happening.

The first thing you have to do is to be aware of your triggers. Once you identify the cause, you can use some of these techniques to stop your tension headaches. Daily Natural Remedies wrote, “To ease headaches, start by placing the thumbs on the cheekbones close to the ears and use fingertips to gently apply pressure and rub the temples. Using a circular motion, slowly move the fingers up along the hairline until they meet in the center of the forehead. Repeat as needed.”

Dr. Oz suggested that you use an Acupressure Massage. He stated, “This ancient Chinese healing method involves applying pressure to certain points on the body to relieve pain. Place your finger in the impression between your first and second toe and press firmly for 3 to 5 minutes.”

Home Remedies for you.com stated, “One of the best ways to cure a headache naturally is to engage in relaxation therapy. You can do this in various ways such as deep breathing and meditation. These are helpful when done regularly.”  This does not replace any medication that your doctor prescribes, but it can help give you some relief from your tension headache.

If you have severe headaches, please consult a physician.  Do not make a mistake and untreated a serious illness.   If you use natural healing along with any medications, you will be able to manage your headaches.
