Power of prayer

Today, is one of the worst days in America’s history, and it is so much publicity about the Orlando murders that I do not want to talk about it.  I want to wish the families of the victims my prayers, and hopes that God will see you through this tragedy.  I know that you are really hurting, but please pray for strength because he is the only one who will see you through.   That is why I did decide to talk about prayer.  Prayer is a way to communicate with God.  If you want to build a personal relationship with God, you have to pray.  Even if things are not going great for you, you need to pray.  We have to remember that this is not a chance for you to milk God for blessings.  This is chance for you to spend time with him.  You will be filled with the Holy Spirit, and you will develop a closer relationship with God.  What better reason to pray? We should pray for everything, but I will dedicate my next four posts to on the subject “why is it important to pray”.    One reason it is important because prayer has power.   Here are some verses to help us understand how prayer has power.

And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

Matthew 21:22

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

1 John 5:14

“If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”

John 14:14.

Remember Jesus also said “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Mathew 28:18.

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Jeremiah 33:3

So we all will experience some struggles in life, but we can call upon him, and he will hear and answer our prayers.  God always keeps his promises. This is one reason it is important to pray, and to believe in the power of prayer.
