Day Twenty One – Movement and Awareness

  1. Mind- The breathing techniques that I gave you should be used at least three times a day or more. I am not saying stop in middle of something and breathe deeply.  I am saying that you should schedule three or more times a day to meditate.  It always good to meditate on the word of God.  You can repeat a verse to yourself while you breathe slowly.   But now, it is time for us to start moving.  I have done some research on movement and awareness.  Studies have shown that if you control your movement in an organized matter, and focus on those movements, you will feel better.  You can do this by doing Yoga, Tai chi and qigong.  Ferguson (2013) wrote, ‘Tai chi and qigong improved physical function, raised the quality of life, prevented falls, and enhanced the sense of self worth and psychological health.’  Professionals believe if you combine awareness, posture, and movement, you will promote self awareness.  So in the coming months, I will give more tips on these exercises.  But you can Google these exercises and start now.
  2. Body – Drink 8 cups of water; eat at least 4 healthy snacks to keep you from becoming hungry. Make sure that you get some fiber in your diet today.  Beef up your exercise today.  Find a YouTube video about Tai chi, yoga or qigong.  Make sure that you write in journal how you feel after finished you exercises.  Make sure that you are taking your vitamins because in coming days we are going to do more excising.
  3. Soul – Read: 2 Corinthians 13:5 and 1 Timothy 4:16,
  4. Go to bed early.  Turn off the television and lights
