How to make sense of it all? (Psalm 139:23)

Random acts of violence are senseless.  Difficult situations should help us grow stronger.   Lately, difficult situations have grown into massive shootings and deaths.  We do not want to make stupid mistakes.  God can teach us to use positive reinforcement. The Bible gives us reasons why we should control our emotions.  The verses listed below give you reasons to stay in control.

2 Corinthians 5:7 – for we walk by faith, not by sight

Our lives are filled with television, social media, and more.  We have to walk by faith, so we can take inventory of our emotions then you can stay calm and at peace.  Satan wants to rob us of our joy, so we have to use our faith to restore our joy and hope.  Faith is the way to help us to stay in control.

Psalm 139:23 – Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts;

God knows everything about us, so ask him to search your heart to reveal your weakness.  We never like facing the truth about ourselves.  Start looking at the man in the mirror.  God can help us make major lifestyle changes.  Our desires make us anxious for selfish goals.  When we know our hearts, we will be able to stop making foolish mistakes.

Proverbs 3:5-6Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight

People do strange and evil things which make no sense.  Trusting in God is the only way to make sense of it all.  He will also help us to control our emotions to keep us from getting hurt or getting into trouble.  You have to believe that he will make it alright, so trust in him.
