When I hear one of my favorite Gospel Songs, I start to cry. I am so full of joy while the music is playing and my soul is satisfied. God gave us music and this is a blessing. Have you ever wondered why God gave us music? I love gospel, jazz, pop, soul, and hip hop. I love gospel music because I feel closer to God. I feel the Holy Spirit coming through the music and voices of the singer(s). I read an article about Rapper Snoop Dog working on a gospel album. This shows how music can influence any one. I know it helps me to stay in the moment of gratefulness, spirituality, and praise. I found some verses that will help us understand why God gave us music. I decided to show the verses today, so you can understand my explanations.
Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord. This passage encourages us to speak to one another in song. This will help when you are auguring with someone because if you sing a song, you will calm down.
Psalm 98 1-3. Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. 2 The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. 3 He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. This mean that we have to look for a new song to praise God because has done great things and he is commit to us.
I feel that God gave us Gospel Music to stay connected with him. So, if you need to be close to God, listen to some gospel music and he will revel himself to you.
