Eating Healthy

Bible Study

2 Kings 19:29 And, this unto thee, is the sign – Eating, this year, the growth of scattered seeds, and, in the second year, that which growth after, – then, in the third year, sow ye and reap plant ye vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof;

The year this verse was written is when a tribe crop was destroyed.   The tribe had to eat the crop that was store and the tribe had to plant seeds in the second and third year.  God has always provided food for us to eat.  The best foods are fruit that is grown with seeds.

Isa 37:30 This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah: “This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

This is another verse that supports to eat what you grow yourself.  It is healthy for you.

I am writing this post to help everyone, including myself, to know how important it is to eat healthily.  It does not mean that you have to eat soy all day.  It does mean that we have to eat differently to improve our health.   This has been a struggle for me because I am trying to lose weight.

Study your bible and see how many verses that direct us to eat healthily.  The problems are not what we eat, but how much of it that we are eating.  When the bible was written, people did not have that much money.  They could not buy food like we do today.  It is more 0f a challenge for us to eat healthily, so track what you eat.   This way you will be healthier and live longer.  You will feel better about your self.
