Don’t be scared of the “The Shooters”

With so many shootings happening around the globe, we have a reason to be afraid.  I feel that in the future these shootings are going to continue.  We do not know if a person will shoot in a mall, concert, or school.  We have to look over our shoulder at every minute.  How can we control our fears during the era of what I call the “The Shooters”?

We are human, so we will worry about “The Shooters.” We are not just worried about ourselves, but we also worry about our love ones.  There is no way to prepare for this type of evil.  The only help that is available to us is God.

God has made promise though out the Bible that he will be there for us.  A great example of how God will stay with us through turbulent times is Jesus.  He was falsely accused, beaten, and crucified.  Jesus did not die after all these events.  He rose from the grave and became of the most influential person in the world.

This should grow our faiths in the power of God.  If you are scared, drop on your knees and pray.  After you finished praying, grab your Bible and study why she should not fear.  I found some verses that can start you off.

            Acts 12

Isaiah 41:13 – 13For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

(Phil. 4:6–7) –Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

There are other verses that show us that God will not leave us or forsake us.  The enemy seems to be winning the war, but Jesus showed us that God is more powerful.
