Do you Count Your Blessings?

It is easy to focus on the negative situations in our lives, but try to get rid of those thoughts.   Life holds different types of situation.  You will experience the good, bad, and ugly.  We need to focus on our blessings.  It is important for us to find a way to remind ourselves how blessed we really are.

Blessing tracker

I have developed a way for us to track our blessings.  It is called a blessing tracker.  Below you will find an example of one.

Develop your own tracking system

This is a table that I use, but you can make up your own list.  Some people call it the “pray lists” and check off the blessings when God answers their prayer request.  I want to think that there is not one day that goes by that you do not add to this.  You can write these blessing in your journal.  They can be written on Posted. Stick the notes in places where you will see them.  Save a list on your computer and reflex on your blessings every day.

Use your tracking system as a tool

This is a good way to get your children involved or others who you want to encourage to focus on the positive things in life.  You can use this list as a Bible study aid.  Counting your blessing can give you ideas on what God wants you to do.  He gives us all gifts. His blessing can be used to blessed others.

Do not misuse your tracker

The one thing that you do not want to do is to become arrogant.  Use this list to help you stay humble.  You need to remind yourself that all things are possible through God.  Blessings are a way that God shows us that he will be there for us through the good, bad, and ugly. This is a great way to stay mindful.   If you focus on God’s goodness, so you can share it with others.
