Mindfulness and Money are opposite to each other. If you keep thinking about money, you will be stress and depress. You cannot be at peace if your bills are behind and your bank account is empty. At this very moment is there anything drastic happening? One can be mindful and broke. Here are three tips on how to relax while being broke.
If you are facing eviction or foreclosure, get a piece of paper and write down some strategies to deal with your problem. When you are finished, go to a quiet place and meditate. Picture yourself giving your landlord or mortgage company the money. Do not think negative thoughts because you will lose focus. After your meditation session, start working on your strategies.
If you have not eaten, or if you are low on food, breathe in and out for about 15 minutes. When you are finished, go get some help. Do not let pride stop you from getting the help that you need. This is the time where you need to reach out to your church, a non-profit agency, or government agency. Do not stress yourself about not having food because there are a lot of resources to help you get food.
Are you in the hospital, or at your doctor’s office? If you are not feeling well, you do not need to stress about anything, so relax and get to a doctor. The government is cutting benefits for the poor, but there are other agencies that still can help. You need to talk to someone, so they can help. Whenever you get a chance, keep meditating. This will keep you calm and you will heal faster.
