Be Happy

I have learned to be content with the situation that I am in. I have been single for many years, but I am content. I would love to be in a relationship, but today it seems so hard. I feel that the first problems with relationships are images. We are so into what we want to see instead of looking for what is important. For instance, I know a lot of people who are looking for a certain image. They do not care if that person is not a good fit for them. But in the end, I find these people in unhealthy relationships or single. I found an article that claims that half of Americans are single. Norton 2015 wrote, “In the United States alone, around half of adults are unmarried, according to recent surveys.” I know why. Who wants to be miserable with a mate? I know that I do not. I want to enjoy life to the fullest. Right now the most important things in my life are my family. I am also trying to make sure that I have enough money to live during retirement, so I do not have time for drama. You know back in day, men did not have time for a lot of drama, but today they do. I do not know what to do to find a man, but I am always going to seek information about living single. We have to make sure that we are happy in every situation because we will lose site on what is important.  People who are married do live longer, but being depressed leads to high blood pressure, stroke, and heart disease.  Norton stated, ” Relationships and experiences change how we feel temporarily, he said, but we generally return to our baseline.”  Look for ways to be happy with or without a spouse.
