Day Eleven – Rest/Sleep

  1. Mind- Sleep is important. Rest is important.  That is all need to be said.  When I meditate, I am relaxed.  I sometimes fall asleep when I meditate.  Even if you do not get your 6 to 8 hours sleep, rest and meditate.  Just and use any of the meditations techniques to relax your mind.   Most of the time, we cannot sleep because we are over thinking, so stop thinking and start becoming aware of surroundings,  The great thing about mindfulness is that you can see when harmful thoughts enter your mind. When you are more aware of yourself, you can control your thoughts and actions.  It is very important to do this and get some rest and sleep.  You will feel better when you just be.
  2. Body – Drink 8 cups of water; eat at least 4 healthy snacks to keep you from becoming hungry. Make sure that you get some fiber in your diet today.   You also need to drink some a tea for sleep.  You can get some holy basil, chamomile, honey, and lemon balm.    Honey is to make it sweet.  You can put these herbs in an empty tea bag and dip the bag in hot water before bed.  This tea should help you get some tea.  Try some other herbal supplements that helps with sleep.  It is always best to use herbs as teas.
  3. Soul – Read:  Psalm 127:2, Proverbs 3:24, and Matthew 8:24.

 

Go to bed early.  Turn off the television and lights
